The trip is about 45 minutes by train and it is the same ticket as the metro. There are several stops that has a sign for the beach and we tried a couple of them, with the same result, an endless beach with private entrances.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/adventurewithjonas.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/IMGP3563-300x199.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/adventurewithjonas.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/IMGP3563-300x199.jpg\" alt=\"IMGP3563\" width=\"300\" height=\"199\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h6>This is what the beach looks like if you climb the fence &#8211; hidden behind small cabins, probably full at high season.<\/h6>\n<p>Fortunately nobody seems to charge you for entering off season so we got in where we could find an opening in the fence. In October the water was still warm enough to swim in and since the beach was empty I managed to do some exercises for my up-coming kick boxing match.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"et_pb_slider et_pb_slider_fullwidth_off et_pb_gallery_post_type\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"et_pb_slides\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"et_pb_slide\" style=\"background: url(https:\/\/adventurewithjonas.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/2013-10-29-15.01.37.jpg);\"><\/div><div class=\"et_pb_slide\" style=\"background: url(https:\/\/adventurewithjonas.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/IMGP3573.jpg);\"><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/adventurewithjonas.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/IMGP3573.jpg\"><br \/>\n<\/a> Just a few stops before the beach we accidentally got off at Ostia Antica, and since we had nothing to do while waiting for the next train we hooked up with an American gentleman we met in search for some ruins he was looking for. Since sign making is considered a lesser art in Italy, we had to ask for directions, but you really just have to get off the train and walk away from the train station across the walk bridge and you will find it.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a style=\"font-size: 18px; color: #555555;\" href=\"http:\/\/adventurewithjonas.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/IMGP3332.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-423\" style=\"margin-top: 8.171875px; margin-bottom: 8.171875px; font-size: 18px;\" src=\"http:\/\/adventurewithjonas.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/IMGP3332-300x199.jpg\" alt=\"IMGP3332\" width=\"300\" height=\"199\" srcset=\"https:\/\/adventurewithjonas.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/IMGP3332-300x199.jpg 300w, https:\/\/adventurewithjonas.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/IMGP3332-500x333.jpg 500w, https:\/\/adventurewithjonas.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/IMGP3332-690x459.jpg 690w, https:\/\/adventurewithjonas.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/IMGP3332-980x652.jpg 980w, https:\/\/adventurewithjonas.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/IMGP3332.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">A \u20ac10 entrance fee and you enter a whole city, that used to be the main commercial port for Rome when before the Tiber changed it course.
